Jen & Doug - Civil Ceremony

It's been said that rain on a wedding day is good luck. The week leading up to Jen and Doug's wedding day, all the way up to the hour it was raining. By the time I got to their apartment in the city, the rain subsided as if the universe was saying "let's do this!" It may have been a cloudy day, but the love and joy both Jen and Doug radiated was enough to feel like a sunny day. So many people congratulated them: from neighbors in their apartment complex, to strangers in the courthouse, to a bus driver honking their horn to celebrate the beginning of this new chapter. Simply put, it was a perfect day.

I was able to be immersed in the experience of getting married; it was a breath of fresh air to not worry about capturing the moment myself and trusting that I was in really good hands.
